Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 18, 2026

1. What Data We Collect

When you use Cooglr, we collect the following categories of data:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo provided via Google Sign-In.
  • Google Drive data — files and documents from the folders you explicitly select for ingestion.
  • Gmail data — read access to email threads and the ability to compose drafts. Cooglr will never send an email without your explicit action.
  • Google Calendar data — calendar events and associated notes from your connected calendars.
  • Usage data — queries you run, pages you visit, and interaction patterns used to improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Ingest your connected sources into a structured wiki.
  • Generate cited answers to natural-language queries across your workspace.
  • Draft email replies based on context from your knowledge base.
  • Detect contradictions between documents and surface them for review.
  • Maintain your wiki automatically when underlying source files change.
  • Enable cross-workspace deep search across all connected integrations.

3. Google API Data

Cooglr’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We request the following OAuth scopes:

  • drive.readonly — read files from your selected Drive folders.
  • gmail.readonly — read email threads for ingestion into your wiki.
  • gmail.compose — compose draft replies (never sent without your explicit action).
  • calendar.readonly — read calendar events and notes.

Cooglr only accesses data from integrations you have explicitly connected. We do not access any Google account data beyond the scopes listed above.

4. Third-Party AI Processing

Cooglr uses third-party AI providers to process your data:

Neither Anthropic nor OpenAI use your data to train their models. Data is processed under their respective enterprise data processing agreements.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
  • Source files are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage.
  • Wiki content is persisted in version-controlled git repositories.
  • Metadata and user records are stored in PostgreSQL.
  • All data in transit is protected via HTTPS/TLS.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We only share data with:

  • AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) — to process queries and generate wiki content, as described above.
  • Infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, Vercel, Neon) — to host and deliver the service.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

7. Data Retention

  • Your data is retained for as long as your workspace exists.
  • Disconnecting an integration immediately deletes the associated OAuth tokens.
  • Deleting a workspace permanently removes all associated data including wiki content, source files, and metadata.
  • Deleting your account removes everything — all workspaces, data, and credentials are permanently erased.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Revoke Google access at any time via Google Account Permissions.
  • Export your data as Markdown files from your workspace dashboard.
  • Request deletion of all your data by emailing davidakpughe2@gmail.com.
  • Access your data at any time through the Cooglr dashboard.

9. Children’s Privacy

Cooglr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at davidakpughe2@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at the address associated with your account. Continued use of Cooglr after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, contact us at davidakpughe2@gmail.com.
